Green Roses

What month is good to start taking care of my roses again?

I have about 10 to 12 large roses and 3-4 (possibly more) and there are mini roses ERP (Portland Rose Society) Rose Show is coming and I was not able to go last year, so I want to know what month would be best to start taking care of them to get the best of them. Also if possible, is there any more green food increased, the murderers of pests, etc. that does not harm the earth or my roses? I appreciate any help I can get. Thanks!

Now is the time to start before the main spring growth spurt. Can source and the pickup and then prune them. Pruning is the best tool for the production of large roses, as it really introduced to force them, focusing in energy in the shoot you can get the highest quality flowers, instead of a bunch of weaker growth and smaller flowers poorest. Destroy any pruning that may be infected with anything, as this would transfer to new growth. Similarly, collecting fallen leaves from around your plants, since they can harbor spores, etc for good growth, I well-rotted manure compost, which will keep the roots moist and nutrient release. Make sure there are no weeds that compete well. You can keep control pests with environmentally safe products. Aphids and fungus problems are best widespread issues. Aphids can be killed with insecticidal soap, sprayed on. Black spot and rust prevention is best started early, and can be used dilute sodium bicarbonate to help with this and mildew, or other treatments. Foliage and flower quality all affect the results show, so attend to the foliage is important. Hope this helps. Good luck! Rob
